Tip #1: Go Prepared.
Research well in advance about the job, company, its services, products, and competitors. Go to their website. Read about their core values, mission statement, recent news, issues, etc.
Also, take the time to go through the job description and prepare your answers that suggest how well you fit into that particular role.
Tip #2: Dress Appropriately
It goes without saying that you should dress appropriately either in business formals or casuals depending on the company you are applying.

Ensure your clothes are clean and presentable the night before. Prepare your bag with all the required documents, certificates, CV, photographs, notepad, and pen the night before.
Tip #3: Be on time
Do not be late. Be present a minimum of 10 minutes and maximum 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment. Not too early not too late. Don’t end up looking desperate for the job by arriving an hour or half an hour early, just be on time either 10 or 15 mins.
Being on time shows how responsible and committed you are towards the job. If it’s a new locality and you are visiting it for the first time, then budget your travel time by checking out the location beforehand.

Your body language will be assessed right from the time you introduce yourself to the interviewer until the end of the interview. Therefore, avoid these most common non-verbal mistakes mentioned below:
- Touching your face and hair
- Not making any eye contact
- Not smiling
- Low energy
- Sitting with your arms crossed on your chest
- Too many hand gestures
- Weak handshake
- Excessive fidgeting
Tip #5: Ask relevant questions at the end of the interview
Pre-plan a set of well-thought-out questions. Asking questions shows the interviewer that you are interested and have done your homework about the company or job you are applying for.
So, prepare at least 3 to 5 questions pertaining the job responsibilities, company culture, growth opportunities, reporting manager information, and when to follow up to know the results of the interview.
