Rate Range: $48.18/Hr
Job Description:
- This position is in the Global Compensation Controller team, responsible the functions relating to accounting and reporting of the carried interest compensation plans.
- Prepare or review monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close activities for carried interest compensation plans including mark-to-market revenue and expense, fund distributions and payments to participants
- Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Prepare or review monthly and quarterly investment and compensation reporting schedules
- Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders including Human Resources, Investment Management Controllers, Legal Entity Controllers, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Tax and Morgan Stanleys fund and plan administrators
- Maintain and update strong control environment/audit documentation
- Assist with projects and Ad Hoc requests
- BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or Business
- CPA candidate preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience, compensation/carried interest investment accounting a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to prioritize and complete deliverables in a timely manner with high attention to detail
