Job Description:
Responsible for engineering the automation that builds, configures, and lifecycle manages the Internal Cloud Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) stack components used to deliver standardized, repeatable cloud capabilities. Accountable for reducing manual effort and operational risk by implementing automated, repeatable workflows that enable the HCI stack to be deployed and evolved consistently as layers built on each other via automation, including automation that supports hosting platforms and core services referenced in the HCI model. Owns Infrastructure as Code and automation standards, reusable automation patterns, and engineering practices that govern how HCI stack components are provisioned, validated, and updated through controlled delivery mechanisms. Task level responsibilities include developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code, expanding automation coverage for provisioning and lifecycle management, integrating automation into pipeline driven delivery practices, and collaborating with virtualization and platform teams to ensure automation supports the full HCI stack model (including automation references for hosting platforms such as Tanzu/OpenShift and network fabric configuration references such as Agora).
Primary Skill: Terraform
Secondary Skill: Ansible
Tertiary Skill: CI/CD
Required Qualifications:
- 4–5 years experience engineering infrastructure automation in enterprise environments.
- Hands on experience with Terraform or comparable Infrastructure as Code tooling.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with virtualization or hyperconverged infrastructure concepts and how automation supports repeatable platform delivery.
Desired Qualifications:
- 5–7 years delivering automation for cloud platforms, virtualization platforms, or infrastructure build pipelines.
- Terraform certification (Associate/Professional) or equivalent automation engineering training.
- Experience automating deployment/configuration for platform layers that sit on top of HCI (e.g., hosting platforms referenced such as Tanzu/OpenShift) and/or automation associated with network fabric configuration dependencies.
- Experience working in regulated environments with disciplined change/release processes and production readiness expectations.
