About the role
Position Overview:
In this role, you will work as a member of the operations team in achieving production, product quality, and employee safety goals of the lighting product line. This role will be responsible operating the paint line to prepare and apply powder coating paint with equipment. This role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor directly.

In this function, you will:
Prepare parts to be loaded and unloaded from the conveyer paint line
Understands quality control process for inspection sheets and non conforming material . Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor
Learn to operate powder coating oven and paint application
Cooperatively work in teams to address problems/issues.
Identify methods to improve efficiency.
Adhere to safety policy and practices to ensure safety at all times
Cross-train as needed to develop additional skills sets to flex as needed with demand
Responsible for maintaining work area and general shop area in a clean and orderly condition
Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory or management personnel.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of (enter location) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
6 months of experience in a manufacturing setting
Position Criteria:
Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours
Ability to follow all safety regulations associated
Standing, stooping, squatting, can be expected along with other means to transfer parts.
Must be able to frequently lift, pull, and push objects that are up to 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 pounds with assistance.
Must be able to wear daily required PPE (safety glasses and steel toe shoes) and where required hearing protection. Additional PPE requirements may exist depending on task such as but not limited to gloves when handling material and ear plugs.
Ability to carry out instructions with little or no follow-up required from supervisor(s).
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply simple calculations involving time-motion analysis.
