Job Description:
- The Material Handler – Warranty Return Center supports the inspection, movement, and handling of warranty return products in accordance with established procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
- This role is responsible for safely moving materials, operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- The Material Handler works closely with inspection and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material flow, data accuracy, and compliance with safety and quality requirements.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to safely move, stage, load, and unload warranty return products.
- Receive, transport, and position materials in designated inspection, quarantine, and storage areas.
- Support inspection activities by presenting product for inspection and assisting with visual checks to verify conformance to specifications.
- Perform visual inspections to identify obvious non-conformities and assist in
- documenting findings in warranty databases and systems.
- Accurately record material movement, inspection support activities, and product status in computer-based systems.
- Assist in the identification, segregation, labeling, and disposition of non-conforming materials and products.
- Collaborate with inspection, quality, and operations teams to support workflow efficiency and quality objectives.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement activities by providing input related to material handling, product condition, and process performance.
- Maintain organized work areas to support FIFO, traceability, and safe material flow.
- Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations, including forklift safety requirements, to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
- Ability to operate a computer for data entry, documentation, and following work instructions.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to routinely lift to 50 pounds.
- 1–3 years of experience in material handling, quality inspection support, warehouse, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and material handling activities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing on and off forklifts throughout the shift.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks for extended periods.
- Manual handling of products, containers, and materials in a warehouse or inspection environment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and situational awareness.
