About the role

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Fire System Technician to install, inspect, troubleshoot, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and be comfortable working independently at customer locations.

Responsibilities

Install, service, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm and life safety systems.
Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
Diagnose system faults and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Work with fire alarm panels, devices, notification appliances, and related equipment.
Perform system testing and ensure equipment operates according to applicable standards.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and system documentation.
Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and documentation.
Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and project teams.
Identify required materials, parts, and equipment for service work.
Follow all company safety procedures and applicable fire/life-safety requirements.
Respond to service calls and complete assigned work within required timelines.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience working with fire alarm systems.
Hands-on experience with installation, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance.
Functional and technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and related components.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Professional customer-service attitude.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
NICET certification or other relevant fire alarm certifications is a plus.
