Tips On How To Become A Better Recruiter

recruitment

Talent acquisition is a tough game. It’s all about understanding people, which we all know isn’t as easy as it sounds. Also, your competitors are looking for the same recruits as you. So why would a prospective candidate come to your firm when he hears of a job opportunity vis-à-vis your competitors? We’ll tell you how to stand out:

  • Reply to everyone: More often than not, a recruiter gets back only to shortlisted candidates, while leaving the rest out. This isn’t a good practice and doesn’t leave an impression one would like to remember; however, it’s not one he’d forget either. Improve candidate experience by letting them know whatever the outcome of their interview is. Also mention that they will be kept in mind in case of any further openings.
  • Be Proactive: Most HR employees and staffing solutions agencies know how this business works. Vision is a very important part of it, just like every other business. Be proactive, and think about which department needs expansion, or if a new department is needed. Start looking out for new hires and start their training! This is bound to help you in the long run.
  • Friday Fun: People who are treated well would most definitely like to work with you in your organization. Once the interview is done, show them how the work culture is; see how comfortable they are. You could organize a ‘Friday Fun’ activity and show them how your company works. Club this in with a feedback session and you’re good to go!

Richard Branson says, “Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients”. Stick to this and you’re sure to be a winner!
