Top Interview Tips If You Are Applying For a Fortune 500 Company

Interview Tips for MNC

Working with a Fortune 500 Company is something prestigious, and not everyone gets a chance to do so. It’s a dream for many, and a lucky few get the chance to experience it. However, there’s a lot of work that goes into getting a gig at a big firm, the first one being cracking the interview. Here’s what you should do if that’s the direction you want to take your career:

Background check: Make sure you’re in the know-how about what the company has been up to. If asked, you should have replies; if not, question the interviewer about some past activities. This will thoroughly impress him/her! Also, set up news alerts about the industry your company is from. Being knowledgeable will always get you some brownie points.

Strengths vs Weaknesses: Tell the interview about your strengths and weaknesses (more of the former) along with examples of how it helped your company in the past. This will help the interviewer remember you as well as make your answers sound genuine. Make sure you don’t mention obvious things such as “hardworking” and “dedicated” as strengths.

Personal Connect: Treat the interview in a formal but informal way. Try and get to know the likes and dislikes of the interviewer, and have a friendly chat. If you’re able to do this, the job’s half done! Not only will it help you bond well, but will also come in handy once you’ve become a successful recruit.

Use proper grammar: Avoid using slang such as “wanna”, “gonna”, “nop”, etc. This is of utmost importance and is something most staffing companies drill into you since it happens subconsciously.
