About the role
A Software Development Engineer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business. Assesses system, application, network, and/or telecom needs, provides modeling and simulation consulting to clarify client technology functionality, and evaluates and implement new advanced technologies. Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions. Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project. Responsible for assigning resources and delegating tasks to meet project deliverables. For this role, the ideal candidate is proficient in scanning tools that we use here. Sonatype, Fortify, & Web Inspect. They should be familiar with AZDO or other agile ticketing systems. They will be responsible for running each scan for all of our applications. Reviewing the scan results and making the required code changes as needed. They will support the team with their own scans and help them resolve items as needed. They will work closely with the security team to communicate that state of our application vulnerability scans and prepare tickets and fixes for delivery. They will also likely be called upon to help develop and unit test on other projects, so strong Java skills are required.
About operations at ApTask
What this vertical looks like inside ApTask.
Operations roles at ApTask cover program management, PMO, business analysis, transformation, and change-management positions across enterprise clients. We place operators who translate strategy into delivery — PMPs, Scrum Masters, agile coaches, Six Sigma black belts, and change-management practitioners certified in Prosci or the client's preferred framework. Candidates are validated against the specific enterprise tooling the client runs (ServiceNow, Jira Portfolio, Clarity, Planview) and their prior track record in comparable-scale programs, not generic delivery experience.
