GDM-Tech (Global Data Mart) is part of TEDRA (Trade Enrichment Data Reporting & Allocations) within Institutional Securities Technology (IST) Division. We are responsible for sourcing, maintaining, distributing, and reporting on the Firm's inventory, position, and reference data.
Supporting the Delta1 Structured Products business, our data sets underpin critical workflows across inventory management, prime brokerage, and firm-wide position reporting. As an authoritative source of key data sets, GDM-Tech sits at the forefront of database technology and is heavily involved in data engineering, data distribution, and analytics efforts.We are looking for an experienced general database developer to contribute to the support and development of a multi-terabyte inventory and position data platform serving the Delta1 Structured Products team globally.
The successful candidate will play a key part in building out a new Snowflake-based data platform, while also supporting and maintaining our existing KDB technology stack. A central objective of the role is to help migrate our current KDB dependencies onto Snowflake a greenfield effort that offers significant scope for design and architectural input.
Our team takes a best tool for the job approach, and the ideal candidate will bring strong interest and experience in cloud platforms and RDBMS technologies, including enterprise-scale, highly accessed transactional and time-series data systems.The tasks will include performance optimization, testing, database engineering, platform migration, version upgrades, and development and distribution on cloud platforms.
The person joining the team must be able to operate in a fast-paced Agile environment where time to market is a key requirement without compromising on the quality and resiliency of the platform.Required skillsKnowledge (intermediate level) of development and performance optimization on major RDBMS technologiesScripting knowledge (Python)Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems/ Version control
